Racing April 4-6, 2008 - Karger promotes the Stateline Supermoto Challenge at Buffalo Bill’s Resort & Casino in Primm, Nevada, just a couple of hours from L.A. and less than an hour from Las Vegas.

Over 400 amateur and pro racers are expected to converge at the Stateline Supermoto Challenge to compete in Supermoto, Quad, UTV (Side X Side) racing.
Podcast - Josh Bartink wrenches for the #21 racer of Johnny Lewis. On Saturday they took 3rd in the Supermoto Unlimited Race and on Sunday they had multiple engine problems. Podcast - Guest Racer Matthew Winstanley rode hard on his KTM 450SX and took two 6th place finishes at Mayhem at the Morango during Round 9 and 10 of the AMA Supermoto Championship. He comes from England and got a taste of American-style Supermoto Racing. One area European riders have trouble is in the motorcross-style dirt sections. Matthew held up well and did a fabulous job. He talks about racing stateside. Podcast - Two-time AMA Motocross Champion, Steve Lamson, serves as Team Manager for the MDK KTM Factory Racing Team and came out to experience AMA Supermoto. His first response, “these bikes sure stay clean!” This was his first introduction to the sport and he took 21st in Round 9 and 12th in Round 10. Lamson is a quick study.

Kurt Nicoll races like a youngster and trains like a demon… the results? He has been on the box in every race he has run in 2007 except when his engine blew due to bad gas. He won the last race of the season by running away and hiding from the competition.

Podcast - If you check Brian Capper closely you’ll notice puncture wounds up and down his arm. He’s been snake bit the entire season. But his dreams came true at the last round of the last race. He qualified well and took it home for a podium finish.

Podcast - Young Gun Johnny Lewis had an up and down weekend and an up and down season. Round 10 - He went through 3 engines and still did not get the power he needed. Silver lining? He road great and moved through the field. Lewis showed a maturity and a determination that belied his years. He took 6th in the final race of the season and 5th in the championship hunt.

Podcast - The last time Alex Hofmann, Moto GP Star, ran Supermoto in the states was at the 2005 Red Bull Supermoto race in Las Vegas, NV on a Kawasaki. At the Mayhem at the Morongo Hofmann ran a works KTM Factory 610 racer provided by buddy and KTM North American Manager, Kurt Nicoll. He started a little rusty but soon was mixing it up with the best of them… the boys had a blast.

ABC’s Wide World of Sports began with “The Thrill of Victory and the Agony of Defeat”. Not often can you hear an interview that has a little of both. Young Gun Johnny Lewis came out swinging at the Mayhem at the Morongo. In the Unlimited race Lewis and Ales Hlad take 3rd and 4th. North American Race Team Manager Kurt Nicoll blows an engine while running in second.
