AMA Pro Speed Athlete of the Year Nominees Announced»

Five standout riders have been nominated to receive the prestigious AMA Pro Racing SPEED Athlete of the Year award which will be presented at the AMA Pro Racing Championship Awards Banquet this Sunday, Nov. 18. Dating back to 1976, the award is the highest honor bestowed to a professional motorcycle racer competing in AMA-sanctioned racing. Past recipients of the award include such legendary names as Bob Hannah, Scott Parker and Kenny Roberts, among others. Continued»

Round 10 - Johnny Lewis 5th in Championship»

Podcast - Young Gun Johnny Lewis had an up and down weekend and an up and down season. Round 10 - He went through 3 engines and still did not get the power he needed. Silver lining? He road great and moved through the field. Lewis showed a maturity and a determination that belied his years. He took 6th in the final race of the season and 5th in the championship hunt.

Alex Hoffman #66 MotoGP Star»

Podcast - The last time Alex Hofmann, Moto GP Star, ran Supermoto in the states was at the 2005 Red Bull Supermoto race in Las Vegas, NV on a Kawasaki. At the Mayhem at the Morongo Hofmann ran a works KTM Factory 610 racer provided by buddy and KTM North American Manager, Kurt Nicoll. He started a little rusty but soon was mixing it up with the best of them… the boys had a blast.

Round 9 - Lewis Gunning For A Win»

ABC’s Wide World of Sports began with “The Thrill of Victory and the Agony of Defeat”. Not often can you hear an interview that has a little of both. Young Gun Johnny Lewis came out swinging at the Mayhem at the Morongo. In the Unlimited race Lewis and Ales Hlad take 3rd and 4th. North American Race Team Manager Kurt Nicoll blows an engine while running in second.

Round 9 - Troy Herfoss Has a Great Run For 2nd»

AMA Supermoto 450CC Premier class - Mayhem at the Morongo - Herfoss is freaky fast. He took second in qualification and second in the race. It took a lot of muscle and concentration to stay on the box today. He mixes it up with the great one, Jeff Ward.

Mitch’s Team Kicks Asphalt in Texas»

KTM Races To Win Mitch Hansen, Team Owner of Team KTM HMC, talks about his team and the maximum effort that they put out in the Texas round.

They team kicked asphalt and produced an outstanding result. Mitch shows his pride and enjoys the win. Team KTM HMC Racing sweeps the Supermoto Unlimited Podium with guest rider and World Supermoto star Aleš Hlad 1st and Kurt Nicoll and Johnny Lewis rounding out the top spots.

Troy Herfoss takes a solid 4th in the premier AMA Supermoto contest.

This year’s event marks the first time the series has visited Texas since 2003 and combined with an intense championship battle in the AMA Red Bull Supermoto and Unlimited class, the Galveston area got a KTM racing treat.
