Product Test: AMR Jetting Tool Kit
From: AMA Pro Racing
By Jim Kimball
With the proliferation of Four Strokes and perimeter frames, getting to your carburetor is like performing surgery! Now, thanks to James Troutman, the founder of AMR, jetting your high-tech four stroke dirt bike just got much easier.
AMR recently sent me one of their new Jetting Tool Kits to review; while I am far from a “factory mechanic” I sure felt like one using the AMR tools to change my bike’s jetting! The Jetting Tool Kit includes a trick 3 in 1 quick change tool, along with their new M10/M17 combo wrench.
The 3 in 1 tool allows for easy air/fuel adjustment along with Pilot Jet removal, and Main Jet removal – all without the time consuming process of removing the carburetor. I simply removed the float bowl drain bolt using the AMR wrench. Accessing the Pilot and main jets was also made simple by flipping the wrench around. Using the AMR 3 in 1 tool, adjusting your carburetor is done in minutes; this is a must have for any Four Stroke rider!
