Round 9 - Nicoll Takes 4th in Moto 2
Kurt Nicoll returns to action after missing Round 8 at Road America due to a entry issue into the United States from his native country of England. Nicoll comes from a motorcross background and finds the high speed track of Nashville suit his racing style.
Team Red Bull KTM HMC factory Supermoto racers had a solid but frustrating day on Saturday’s night race at the Music City Motorplex. The racers were in the hunt but couldn’t close on the red and blue riders.
After moto 1 the factory KTM racers crossed the stripe in 5th and 6th with Kunzel getting the nod. In the second moto the Orange Men finished 4th and 5th with Nicoll taking the checkers ahead of his teammate. The racing was tough and hard fought.
Graves Yamaha’s Doug Henry kept his 2006 AMA Supermoto title hopes alive with a clutch victory in the day’s second main event at the Music City Motorplex in Nashville, TN.
Roadracer Danny Eslick completed an impressive Supermoto debut weekend in seventh for Scotty’s Speed Shop II.
