Orange Man Lewis Takes 5th
Johnny Lewis improved his race craft from 9th at Road America in June to 5th at Road America in September. Even though the racers of Team Red Bull KTM HMC consider this track their home track, it has been tough for the youngest racer on the team.
In June, Lewis broke his hand a few days before the contest and still managed a respectable top 10 finish. At Round 8, he ran out of clear tear offs and was racing in the slick and muddy conditions almost blind. Even so, he put on quite a show dueling with Justin Ross throughout the race.
Johnny Lewis is currently in 4th place in the Supermoto Unlimited Championship at 135 points, just 14 points back from Micky Dymond in 3rd.
